About Michaela

Michaela Toffoli is a Registered Physiotherapist passionate about empowering clients at all ages, stages, and seasons of life on their wellbeing journeys. She graduated from the University of British Columbia in 2017 with a Masters in Physiotherapy.

As a physiotherapist, Michaela’s goal is to assist patients in fully understanding their injury or condition, provide supportive therapies that enhance recovery, and empower them to take their health to its fullest potential.

Treatment Approach

Michaela takes an individualized whole-person approach to assessment and treatment. Cornerstones of a session with her include clear communication and education, collaborative goal setting, and balanced hands-on and movement therapy. She incorporates various modalities as appropriate to individual needs, including individualized exercise therapy, IMS (Intramuscular Stimulation), laser therapy, real-time ultrasound, and manual therapy.

Pelvic Health Expertise

As a compassionate physiotherapist and mother who has been through her own pelvic health journeys, Michaela has a special interest in working with healthy aging and women’s/pelvic floor health. She is dedicated to supporting patients with pregnancy and postpartum care, incontinence concerns, core stability, pelvic health for athletes, diastasis recti, pelvic pain and dyspareunia, and general integration of pelvic wellbeing into their lives. She is also trained in visceral manipulation and acupuncture to provide comprehensive care.
